Experience of Care
The Experience of Care surveys measure member and caregiver experience getting care through their or their child’s health plan. These surveys use the CAHPS survey instruments, adding additional items of particular relevance for the population. The full Experience of Care surveys field in alternate years and an abbreviated version of the survey is fielded annually.
Annual Report Cards (ARC)
The Annual Report Cards surveys field select items from the biennial Experience of Care surveys, and likewise measure member and caregiver experience getting care through their or their child’s health plan. These surveys divide health plans by the service areas of operation. All five Annual Report Cards surveys field every year.
Experience of Dental Care
The Experience of Dental Care surveys measure caregiver experience getting dental care through their child’s dental plan. These surveys use an adapted version of the CAHPS Dental survey instrument for caregivers of child and adolescent members. The biennial Experience of Dental Care surveys field in odd years.
National Core Indicators
The NCI survey is designed to collect data to assess the quality of services and supports provided to this population. The NCI data provides valuable insights for policymakers, service providers, and advocates to improve the effectiveness and quality of care for individuals with IDD and older adults and individuals with physical disabilities.
